Wellness Education 11

This semester-long course serves as the culminating experience of the high school wellness journey. Building on the foundational knowledge and skills developed in 9th and 10th grade, students will design and implement an Individual Wellness Plan (IWP). Throughout the semester, students will establish personal goals, create key performance indicators, and track their progress as they explore and refine their future wellness aspirations.

In addition to personal wellness planning, the course includes a comprehensive health component. Students will earn CPR/AED certification, receive emergency first aid training, and learn essential emergency procedures. The curriculum also addresses critical topics such as drugs, alcohol, and tobacco prevention, as well as healthy relationships and violence prevention. This course empowers students to take ownership of their lifelong health and wellness, fostering habits and practices tailored to their individual interests and needs.
